The first time getting off the boat is a little overwhelming. There's stingrays everywhere! Since the water was so shallow we were walking around, so I was afraid of stepping on one. They are not shy at all either, swimming under and all around us. The guides even maneuvered the rays so that splash up on your back (luckily not to me - I would have freaked out!). Once we swam out a little, we could see the lemon sharks swimming around us. I wasn't too freaked out for some reason! They were keeping their distance and didn't seem bothered by us. We didn't interact with them at all, but did get some really cool pictures and videos. I did notice at one point, there were about 15 sharks circling us, so I kept swimming lol. We swam through some coral reefs and over to a big ledge, which was a great spot for pics. After that, we swam back to the boat and were off to the next site. This stop was much deeper, probably around 50 feet if I had to guess. So I was definitely more intimidated to jump in. Once I got in though, there was so many beautiful blue fish. I could see larger sharks lurking around in the distance. The guides used some fish to lure the sharks in. There was only ever about 3 sharks max around us, although I'm sure there were others with their eyes on us. It was amazing to watch these peaceful creatures swimming around in their own habitat. At one point, the guide were having kids grab onto the fin of the shark and going for a ride. We figured if kids are doing it, we have nothing to be afraid of. So off we went! Grabbing a sharks fin like it was nothing! By far one of the best and most adventurous experiences of my life! You can probably guess that I would recommend this trip! I've been cage diving with great white sharks in Australia, and I think this beats out that experience. Honestly, everyone can do it- even kids. I felt completely safe the whole time. The guides are really knowledgable and do this for a living. They didn't even wear foot fins, so you know they're legit. You won't regret going on this excursion!
