3 DAYS IN TAHITIBora Bora was our first stop on our honeymoon trip. It was the perfect destination to unwind after a long few months of wedding planning. We were able to unplug and detach ourselves from the world for a little bit and enjoy the beautiful islands. Check out more on our stay below. Bora boraThe Hilton Conrad was absolutely stunning. Seeing all the villas from the boat ride in got us so excited to begin our honeymoon. We actually arrived a little earlier than check-in time, but were given a temporary room so we didn't waste any time on the island. We loved staying in the beach front villas. The water was absolutely amazing to wake up to every morning. We didn't have a pool in our villa, but with the ocean right there, I'm not sure you need one! The rooms were gorgeous and large - definitely noting design tips that I want to steal from their bathrooms. There is so much to do on the resort - mini golf, kayaking, paddle boating, tennis, pools, spa, snorkeling, biking, etc. So whether you like to lay out or get active, you'll enjoy yourself! I will say that their menus were priced a little on the higher end, and I wasn't blown away by the food, but that's to be expected from a luxury resort like this. Other than that, this is one of my all-time favorite hotel experiences! ACTIVITIES: Swimming with rays & sharks, Snorkeling, Tennis, Biking, Kayaking, Paddle-boating, Tahitian dinner As I mentioned above, there was SO much to do on the resort. There are bikes parked around the main areas that you can grab and ride around for fun or to get to another part of the resort. We played tennis at sunset one night (not sure if I could have handled sweating in the hot temps during peak hours), laid out by the pool, kayaked, paddle-boated, and snorkeled. I believe one night a week they have a traditional island show, where there is a buffet and dancers. It was very cool to see, but make sure you arrive (or make reservations) on time so you get a good seat up front! Of all the activities we did, the ray & shark excursion was definitely my favorite. Swimming in the open ocean with sharks?! I mean c'mon - how do you pass that up? Read more about that experience here. We had an amazing 4 days in Bora Bora. It was the perfect way to start our honeymoon, relax from the wedding, and enjoy time together being husband and wife! I highly recommend staying in the beach front villas. It will bring you to another level of serenity. Even if you don't, the Hilton Conrad resort is so accommodating and has a private beach front, so you won't feel like you're missing out on too much. Bora Bora is all you've probably ever imagined, and it definitely lives up to the hype.
